Wildcatter Training Grounds Open

Wildcatters SC opens the premier private training grounds in East Texas

August 27, 2014, Longview, Texas -- Wildcatters Soccer Club's new training ground officially opened today with a scrimmage between the U8 boys and U10 girls academy teams.  The training grounds, located at 1802 Moody Boulevard in White Oak, Texas, consists of over 93,000 square feet of irrigated playing field with Texas Ace Bermuda turf grass.  Irrigation and hydro-mulching were performed by Petty's Irrigation and Landscaping of Tyler, Texas.  The site required a substantial cut and fill, which began in early Spring 2014 with the help of Fluid Disposal, Inc. of Marshall, Texas, one of the largest oilfield construction firms in the Ark-La-Tex.  Fluid Disposal donated a considerable amount of time to this large project.  Some follow up dirt work on the facility was done by JDW Services of Gladewater.  Rick's Signs / Oilfield Signs of Texas provided the signs at the facility.  Sears Electric ran electricity to the facility and set the lights.  Peter Paul's Plumbing of White Oak installed the water lines.  Johnson & Pace of Longview surveyed and set the fields.

The facility, which is 130 yards by 80 yards with black chain link fencing provided by Buchanan Fence Company of Longview, is currently set up with two 70 x 50 yard playing fields.  One field has 6.5' x 12' goals for U7 and U8 academy play and the other has 7' x 21' goals for U9 and U10 play.  There are also several small sided goals and a soccer tennis net.  The facility is partially lighted and has a storage building stocked with supplies and field training gear.  This Fall, the club will add a small office facility and a locker room facility adjacent to the playing fields.

Use of the facility is provided by Shoco Development, LP and TEC Well Service, Inc. of Longview.
